Description of Work
This short piece was inspired by the story of a mother at the forefront of the Ebola epidemic. She was forced to choose between caring for a sick son and surviving for a healthy son. This story impacted an infectious disease researcher (me!), another woman with two sons, profoundly. We must do everything we can, as soon as we can, next time. Next time, after all, it could be any of us.
