Given the frustration associated with the standard attempts at treating obesity, one may wish to seek alternative, yet scientifically sound options for weight loss. The ketogenic diet has been shown to be effective in the treatment of obesity, especially in long-term studies, the fundamental premise being the use of non-standard dietary methods to get one’s body to burn body fat for fuel. In addition to obesity, keto has shown potential as a method of treatment for epilepsy, diabetes, and many other ailments.
