An 1870s carte de visite by Geo. E. Brown, Photographer, Middle St., Portland, Me., has written on the back: "Belle Littlefield Mrs. Prof. Widgewood." Miss Littlefield has dark hair which is parted in the middle and pulled to the back. Her dark eyes gaze down and to her own right. A white ruffle collar and bow decorate her neckline.
