Westbrook Seminary students and faculty pose in front of Hersey Hall in this 1901 mounted, sepia toned, photograph by Edward A. Hodge, Congress Street, Portland, Maine. Seminary president Oscar H. Perry stands rigidly straight in the center of the photo with a female student on either side of him.

Riokichi Ito (Ise, Japan), Class of 1901, stands in the back row, eighth in from the right. A fellow classmate's hand rests on his right shoulder. Frank Linwood Bailey (Harpswell), Class of 1901, who became a pharmaceutical chemist, stands on the far left with a book in his right hand.
