Description

Shoveling snow on the Westbrook Seminary campus during the winter of 1918-1919 are Eugene E. Smith, Class of 1922; Ruth Ward, Class of 1921; and Charley Clavin. The boys backs are toward Goddard, Hersey and Alumni Halls as they all shovel the walk crossing the campus Green.

All three students were among the editors of a student-run publication the Messenger.
