Description
Isabelle Gunn, Westbrook Junior College student, Class of 1941 stands before a brick building with Marie Gately in this candid black and white snapshot developed by Bicknell Photo Service, on May 3rd, 1940. Isabelle wears a wool suit; Marie has a dress-length coat over her skirt and vest. Both girls have on socks and saddle shoes; both wear their chin-length hair parted on the right and curled.
Written in pencil on the back of the photo is: Marie Gately, Isabelle Gunn, 1941. Written in blue ink beneath each name is '41.
According to the 1941 Tower yearbook Isabelle Jean Gunn majored in Liberal Arts and then went on to Simmons College. She was Treasurer of her senior class and active in Student Council, Riding Club and Red Cross Work.
