Description
Four Westbrook Junior College students sit around table, served by a fifth, in this 1951 black and white home economic class photograph by William A. Hatch for the State of Maine Publicity Bureau. Written in pencil on the photo back is the following: Around table, Janice Hannigan, Betty Ackerman waitress, Mary Pine, Evelyn Welch, Barbara Shorlit.
Betty Ackerman wears a plaid heart-shaped apron. Mary Pine and Evelyn Welch wear plaid short-sleeve blouses. The table is set with placemats, matching center runner, a fall dried flower centerpiece and candlesticks.
