Description
Two Westbrook Junior College students lay across a dormitory bed studying from a notebook in this black and white 1950s photograph by Ellis Herwig Photography of Cambridge, MA. At the head of the bed and on the pillow are Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls.
The two young women wear blouses and sweaters with sleeves pushed up to their elbows; wrist watches are prominently worn on their left wrists. One student rests on her elbows and holds her chin in her hands; the other has her arms crossed on the bed. Both wear wide grins--are those notes they study provokingly hilarious?
