Description

A Westbrook Junior College work-study student waits on a fellow student in the bookstore in this late-1950s black and white photograph by William M. Rittase, Philadelphia, PA. Standing behind the counter outfitted with an adding machine and cash drawer, the work-study student uses a sales pad and pencil to record her sales. Holding a copy of British Poetry and Prose, the student customer has additional texts and English titles piled on the counter for purchase.
