Description
Five Westbrook Junior College students pose on wooden steps reading and sharing their mail in this 1954 black and white photograph by William M. Rittase, Philadelphia, PA. The five young women wear straight skirts with short-sleeve sweaters and loafers or saddle shoes with bobby socks. Their hairstyles are short, curly and parted on the side.
The young woman in the center is Theresa Vangeli [Wheaton], Class of 1955, who was featured in a mid-1950s admissions brochure for which this picture was taken.
