Description

Six Westbrook Junior College girls, dressed in suits and heels, wield push brooms and paint brushes and lead a convoy of street cleaning vehicles down Congress Street in this black and white photo with 1965 printed on the back. The six young women wear painters hats and several carry paint and stain buckets as they bend over to clean Congress Street with their paint brushes. A sign on one of the trucks reads: "Clean up . . . don't . . . burn up."
