Description

A Westbrook Junior College dental hygiene student sits in the Dental Hygiene Clinic (later Coleman Building) and chats with Gail Purrington, the first director of the dental hygiene program, in this 1961 black and white glossy photo by The Wendell White Studio, Portland,Maine. The DH student wears a sleeveless print blouse and a pale colored pleated skirt. Miss Purrington wears a white uniform dress and white cap with wide ribbon across the entire front.Both sit in Eames molded plastic chairs with aluminum legs and wheels.
