A ca.1870 photograph of the Seminary Building by Portland photographer M. F. King shows the Stevens Plains Universalist meeting house, originally built at Allen's Corner in 1849, annexed to the back of the classroom building to serve as Westbrook Seminary's assembly hall and chapel.
