The exterior of Hersey Hall is being renovated in this 2001 black and white glossy photograph taken by Joyce K. Bibber, a graduate of Westbrook Junior College's Class of 1956, a WJC assistant dean, a USM history professor, and author of seven Maine books including the pictorial history Westbrook College Campus.

The 2001 Westbrook College Campus renovations were a part of the campus changes and updates to accommodate the consolidation of the University of New England's College of Health Professions on the Westbrook College Campus. This view of the crane and staging and renovations to the back exterior of Hersey Hall was photographed from the roof of Proctor Hall.
