Five Westbrook Junior College dental hygiene students clean their classmates' teeth in this September 1961 black and white glossy photo of the Dental Hygiene Clinic (later Coleman Building) taken by The Wendell White Studio, Portland, Maine. The five young women wear white dress uniforms and sit on stools to the left of their "patients." They are supervised by Miss Gail Purrington, the first director of the dental hygiene program (right, back), and a clinical instructor (right, front).

Nine dental stations are visible in this photo.
