After laboratories had been moved in 1967 to the Blewett Science Center and Alumni Hall had been refitted for the humanities, art history, studio art and pottery were taught on the second floor. Here, in this late 1960s, early 1970s black and white photograph by Ellis Herwig Photography of Cambridge, MA., a single female model poses in slacks and long sleeve blouse before a circle of classmates who sketch her on drawing pads propped up on metal and laminate desks. Two students, one of which sights the model along the length of her pencil, work intently in the foreground.
