Description

Mrs, Jadine O'Brien (seated front right) and five students during Freshman Week, 1964. Mrs O'Brien (Class of 1951) was Alumnae Secretary from 1957 to 1964. She was also Assistant Director of Admissions. It is probably her role in the photograph. Also that same year she became Assistant Dean.

The students are from left, Judy Crosby, Barbara McGarry, Mary Jane Bull, Frances Crowe and Linda Berry.

Freshman Week involved a type of initiation where the new students wore odd clothing, such as baby bonnets, beanies and mismatched socks. The week culminated in a Candle-Lighting Ceremony.
