In 1964, the Modern Dance Club and the Faux Pas vocal group represented Westbrook Junior College by performing at the World's Fair in New York City. The dancers, usually depicted in black leotards, wore colorful dresses to perform the Maypole Dance on the Village Green in the New England Pavilion. The Faux Pas group sang a selection of Down East songs.
