This is a quantitative quasi-experiment that will use purposive sampling to recruit the Mexican American adult patients diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Stages 1 and 2 and have not been diagnosed with Diabetes or received nutrition intervention for CKD. The purpose of this research is to identify at what stage nutrition counseling has a significant result on renal labs from patients diagnosed with CKD. The data from this research would provide information needed for medical providers to use in their treatment course for their patients with CKD.
