Kinesiology is the study of human movement, including the forces that influence that movement. Human movement includes osteokinematics, or the movements of the bony levers of the body, along with arthrokinematics, which is the movement of the joint surfaces. UNE course PTH 502, Kinesiology, consists of an in-depth analysis of human motion with an emphasis on applied anatomy, biomechanics, normal gait, and total patterns of motion. Classroom experiences are closely integrated with gross anatomy. This series of videos created by and featuring UNE faculty and students focuses on the osteokinematics and arthrokinematics of human movement. Access to these videos is limited to current UNE students, faculty, and staff.
