Notes
Carrie Pratt is a School Based Technology Specialist at Fairfax County Public Schools. Carrie graduated with a Master of Arts in Education from West Virginia University; earning certifications in Pre-K, Special Education, and Elementary Education. While in college, Carrie worked full time as a Licensed Practical Nurse, serving clients in group homes. Appreciating the uniqueness and potential in everyone, Carrie switched her university major from nursing to education, and never looked back. Carrie’s interests in teaching, mentoring, and student-centered learning are evident in her research on leadership and blended learning. Earning her Ed.D. in Transformative Leadership from UNE in May 2019, Carrie continues to follow her deep interests in blended learning and leadership. She strives to merge modern pedagogy and innovative technologies to provide every child with access to dynamic learning opportunities.
