Dorothy Jean Loud (Lowd), Westbrook Seminary, Class of 1916 is pictured in this individual Commencement sepia toned photograph. Nicknamed "Dottie" and the daughter of Fred and Addie Holmes Lowd, Steward and Matron at Westbrook Seminary from 1900-1927, Miss Lowd's brief bio and Westbrook Seminary activities are listed beneath her photo.

In addition, Dorothy Lowd graduated with honors, gave the valedictory speech at Commencement, did additional coursework at Westbrook Seminary and became registrar and secretary to Westbrook Seminary president Clarence P. Quimby.

Miss Lowd married Westbrook Seminary student Roger Wood Flint in 1922 and had one child, Charlotte.
