Two Westbrook Junior College students receive polio shots from Dr. Gisela Davidson in this 1956 black and white photograph labeled [Portland Evening] Express on the back. The two young women wear white blouses, either sleeveless or with the sleeves rolled up, and they grimace and joke with Dr. Davidson as she is poised to inoculate. Dr. Gisela Davidson had an in-town practice; she also served as the on-call College Physician.
