Akesis

Volume 6, Issue 2 Fall 2021

As future and current healthcare practitioners, we always have to anticipate the decisions and actions we'll have to take. There can be anxiety associated with this unknown, but also a reflection on the importance of how we treat each and every patient--and to acknowledge that we won't always have a prepared action as a patient could always surprise us. In this issue of Akesis, in addition to other works of general narrative medicine, we invited contributors to explore this unknown: the anxiety of what to do, and how you may act at the moment, even when something catches you by surprise.
