Description
This interprofessional project combines interventions from occupational therapy, nutrition and dietetics, public health, and osteopathic medicine to address the needs of a 35 year-old male, John Doe. The simulated patient case was centered around assessing social determinants of health and viewing the patient as a whole in order to create a comprehensive plan of care. Through weeks of collaboration and discussion of what each field could offer the patient, the team was able to learn more about the scopes of practice of each healthcare discipline while identifying resources that addressed the financial, social, and psychological components of this case.
