Description
The Campus Bookstore, on the first floor of Hersey Hall, is shown in this 1960 glossy black and white photograph with The Wendell White Studio, Portland, Maine, stamped in purple ink on the back of the photo. The woman in profile on the left is Mary Mills who operated the Bookstore. Westbrook Junior College students purchased their class textbooks, which were piled on metal shelves at the back of the store, by course title. In addition to textbooks, the Bookstore also stocked notebooks, paper and pens, and an assortment of college souvenirs.
