Description

White steps and railings lead to the Westbrook Junior College, Portland, Maine, McArthur Gymnasium entrance in this mid 20th century black and white photograph. Carved into the brick facade over the entrance is "McArthur Gymnasium" and reflected onto the brick facade on either side of the entrance are the black shadows of Campus Green trees or shrubs. Just barely visible to the left of the Gym is the corner of Alumni Hall with scaffolding in place over a basement and first floor window.
