Description
Helen F. Spaulding, Class of 1864, graduated from Westbrook Seminary with a Laureate of Science degree and was appointed head of the Woman's department at Westbrook Seminary and Female Collegiate Institute. She served in this position for six years and taught geometry, algebra, English and drawing. Miss Spaulding is pictured on this carte de visite by A. C.
