Description
William Cornelius Brown, an African American male student from Edenton, N.C., entered Westbrook Seminary in Jan 1901 and graduated in 1904. He was Vice President of the Westbrook Seminary Publishing Association and its monthly publication The Messenger, and a 1904 Commencement Speaker. A pastor for 16 years of the First AME Zion Church in Brooklyn, Brown went on to be a Bishop in the denomination.
