An unidentified Westbrook Seminary female student from the Class of 1904 is wearing a dark cap and gown in this mounted black and white Commencement photograph by Kennedy, Portland, ME. Beneath her gown can be seen a dark skirt, white high-necked blouse and dark neck ribbon. She wears her hair in a Gibson girl style. Her mortar board sits squarely on her head.The student stares squarely into the camera with serious expression. Her shoulders are erect. She looks every inch the proud and serious young female graduate.
