The ten members of the Westbrook Seminary Class of 1927 pose in their Commencement caps and gowns, on the College Green, in two rows of five facing the camera. All ten female graduates smile. Seven of the ten wear their hair short; three have longer hair pulled to the back of their heads. Mortar boards sit squarely on their heads.

College Street houses, including the Dow House and the Johnson Faculty Club house, are visible in the background.

Class of 1927 graduates are: Rachel Turner, Barbara Mather, Adeline Dickey, Elizabeth Nells, Dorothy Morse, Arline Taylor, Mrs. Martha Howe, Ethel McLean, Charlotte Smith, and Winnifred Oakes.
