Description
Three members of the Westbrook Junior College, Portland, Maine, Wanakea Riding Club walk their horses around the Stroudwater riding ring in this deckled-edged, candid black and white glossy snapshot developed in May 1940 by Bicknell Photo Service. The three young women wear traditional riding habits of jodhpurs, tweed riding jackets and boots.
The purposes of the WJC Wanakea Riding Club were threefold: the promotion of good fellowship, good sportsmanship, and good horsemanship.
