Description
Miss Katherine Averill, WJC housemother, poses on the Johnson House front walk in this black and white candid snapshot developed by Bicknell Photo Service on November 26, 1940. Miss Averill wears a full skirt and a crew neck, long sleeve sweater with the peter pan collar of her blouse just visible at the neck. Her dark hair is parted on her right and is tightly curled at the ends.
Written in black ink on the back of the photo is: "Housemother Miss Averill (Katherine) Johnson House."
