Description
Four Westbrook Junior College students and their dates stand and sit on the edge of the gymnasium floor as they take a break from dancing in this 1956 black and white photo. The four young women wear dresses with nylons and heels. The four young men wear suits and ties, or slacks with sport jackets and ties. The four couples are conversing. Two couples stand and two couples sit. Behind them, covering the gym windows are construction paper cutouts of pumpkins, turkeys and hatchets. One wonders if this might be a Thanksgiving dance or perhaps the Turkey Trot?
