Four Westbrook Junior College students sit in cushioned, wooden lounge chairs in a basement dormitory smoker in this mid-1950s black and white photograph. Two of the girls wear short-sleeve sweaters and skirts, two wear blouses and skirts. All sport bobby sox and loafers. The four young women look at each other with serious and studious expressions, perhaps contemplating upcoming mid-term exams or finals.
