Description
Six Westbrook Junior College students decorate for a Westbrook Athletic Association dance in this posed 1957 black and white snapshot. Two of the young women stand on wooden folding chairs, supported by two other students with their hands around their waists. One student holds a rolled paper scroll in her hands, while another passes a wall decoration. All are dressed in heels, nylon stockings and dressy street dresses.
The wall decorations for the dance include the silhouette of a dancing couple, musical notes and make-believe vinyl record discs with Musical WAA Jamboree printed on them.
The dance is probably taking place in MacArthur Gymnasium.
