Fifteen Westbrook Junior College students enjoy pizza, in their dormitory living room, on a rainy Sunday in this 1957 black and white photograph, labeled "Rainy Sunday" in pencil on the back.. The young women sit together on a striped sofa, or on the floor in front of the sofa, and on end tables on either side of the sofa. The wall behind where they sit is papered with a large intertwined and shaded leaf pattern.
The young women wear shorts or slacks with sweaters or blouses. One wears a white Westbrook sweat shirt. All appear to have their own individual take-out pizzas, each served on a round paper plate lined with a square of special paper to keep the pizza from sticking to the plate.
