Ten Westbrook Junior College students, residents of the co-op dormitory, Houghton Hall, eat dinner with their housemother in this 1950s black and white photograph by William M. Rittase, Philadelphia, PA. The young women all wear sleeveless or short sleeve blouses, and they sit at a large rectangular table. The table surface is covered with plates and serving dishes of food, glasses of milk, water pitchers, salt and pepper shakers, and ash trays and cigarettes.
