Description
Sixteen Westbrook College students and their coach, Vaughn Twaddel, pose together at Sugarloaf, U.S.A., Kingfield, Maine, in this early 1970s black and white photograph. The sixteen young women stand shoulder to shoulder with their skis on their feet and poles in each hand. They all wear ski parkas, ski pants, and hats or hoods. Several have ski goggles perched on their foreheads.
Westbrook College professor Vaughn Twaddel, nicknamed Mr. T by students, taught business and economics courses and programs from the early 1960s into the early 2000s. He continued his association with the College and then UNE, as the golf coach, right up until his death in 2008.
