Westbrook College student Cathy Walz warms up on the campus Green for April Amble '78 in this black and white glossy photograph labeled on the back with [Portland Maine Sunday] Telegram, Sun, Apr 30, 1978. Westbrook College's April Amble was a four-mile foot race sponsored by the college each spring. Begun in 1977, it went on for more than two decades. The day's events usually included a one-mile fun run, a runner's clinic, luncheon and a carnival.
