Description
Arthur Freundlich, practicing psychologist and Westbrook Junior College Professor of Psychology, teaches a psychology course in a Proctor Hall classroom in the 1950s. His students face him and the blackboard and are photographed from the back and rear of the classroom. They sit at wooden tablet arm desks. The words "Lobotomy, Lobectomy and Topectomy" and "Physical Methods, 1. Shock, 2. Drugs, 3. Surgery are written on the blackboard.
