Description

From a 1940s Admissions photograph folder of campus views, this sepia toned print shows The College Snack-Bar, set up in the McArthur Gymnasium basement during the summer of 1937. Known as the "caf," it had its own entrance and was adjacent a space called a "smoker" by students and a "rec room" by the president. The print is labeled on the front, lower left corner, with The College Snack-Bar. On the lower right corner is the label: Westbrook Junior College, Portland, Maine.
