Description
An 1870s Westbrook Seminary carte de visite by Conant, Portland, Me., has the following written on the back: "Eva A. King. N. Monmouth, Maine. Remember me kindly." Eva wears a high neck dress with a white ruffle inside the neckline and an ascot or jabot pinned in the front. Her hair is pulled to the back in long curls. Her hair has been frizzed with a curling iron on top.
