Description
Two Westbrook Junior College retailing students show a third retailing student a light colored dress which hangs from a fixture within a department store showroom in this early 1960s black and white glossy photo by The Wendell White Studio, Portland, Maine. The three young women wear long-sleeve winter dresses with dark high-heels. Their hair is curled and coiffed; two wear small switches, or hair pieces, coiled on top of their own hair. Behind the retailing students is a rack of dresses divided into four compartments. Our young retailers may be on their mid-winter internships which were a requirement of the program.
