Abstract

On June 16, 2023, Cathleen Miller interviewed Andrew Golub for the UNE Oral History Project. During the interview, Golub discusses his personal history and his years of working at the University of New England (Biddeford campus) Library.

Golub spoke about his background and career. He began his work at UNE in 1983, and shared how he decided to pursue a career in academic librarianship. He gave a historical perspective about UNE’s founding and the politics of merging NECOM and UNE, and talked about his work shepherding the library into the 21st century until his retirement in 2020.
